  • You agree to comply with all Jersey Leash Leaders policies.

Continued use of our services after any amendments to these Terms & Conditions constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms & Conditions.

⸻

3. Meet & Greet

All new clients must complete a complimentary Meet & Greet before any services begin.

The Meet & Greet allows us to:

  • Meet your dog.
  • Assess temperament and behaviour.
  • Discuss routines.
  • Discuss medical history.
  • Discuss feeding requirements.
  • Complete client records.
  • Ensure our services are suitable.

Completion of a Meet & Greet does not guarantee acceptance.

Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to refuse any booking where we believe our services are unsuitable or where accepting the booking could compromise the welfare or safety of staff, other dogs or members of the public.

⸻

4. Bookings

Bookings are only confirmed once accepted by Jersey Leash Leaders.

We reserve the right to refuse or decline any booking.

Availability cannot be guaranteed.

Regular clients may be given priority over ad-hoc bookings.

Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

⸻

5. Payments

Payment must be made using the agreed payment method.

Regular customers paying by Direct Debit authorise Jersey Leash Leaders to collect payments automatically on the agreed collection date.

Late payments may incur a 15% late payment charge.

Accounts with overdue balances may have services suspended until payment has been received in full.

Outstanding balances may be referred to a debt recovery agency where necessary.

The Client remains responsible for all charges relating to booked services until payment has been received in full.

⸻

6. Cancellation Policy

Group Walks

A minimum of 4 full working days’ notice must be provided to cancel any booked Group Walk.

Any cancellation received with less than 4 full working days’ notice will remain fully chargeable.

Day Care

A minimum of 7 full working days’ notice must be provided to cancel any booked Day Care session.

Any cancellation received with less than 7 full working days’ notice will remain fully chargeable.

Working Days

Working days are defined as Monday to Friday and exclude weekends and Jersey public holidays.

Rescheduling

Requests to move, swap or reschedule a booking are treated as cancellations and are subject to the same notice periods.

If sufficient notice is not provided, the original booking will remain fully chargeable.

These notice periods are necessary because your dog’s place is reserved exclusively for them and is often impossible to refill at short notice.

⸻

7. Client Holidays & Planned Absences

If you have any holidays or planned absences where your dog will not require our services, we kindly ask that you notify Jersey Leash Leaders as soon as possible.

Where possible, we request a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice for planned holidays. Providing us with plenty of notice allows us the opportunity to offer your reserved place to another client during your absence and helps us maintain a consistent service.

If holiday notice is provided within the same calendar month as your planned absence, or after your bookings have already been scheduled, your sessions will remain subject to our cancellation policy and may remain fully chargeable if the required notice period has not been met.

If you choose not to use a booked service due to:

  • Holidays
  • Illness
  • Working from home
  • Annual leave
  • Family commitments
  • Change of plans
  • Any other personal reason

your booking will remain fully chargeable unless the required cancellation notice has been provided.

No refunds, credits or replacement sessions will be provided where the required notice period has not been met.

⸻

8. Extreme Weather Policy

The health, safety and welfare of every dog in our care will always be our highest priority.

Jersey Leash Leaders will never knowingly provide a service that places a dog, our staff or members of the public at unnecessary risk.

During periods of extreme or unsafe weather including, but not limited to:

  • Heatwaves
  • Thunderstorms
  • Lightning
  • High winds
  • Heavy rain
  • Flooding
  • Snow
  • Ice
  • Extreme temperatures
  • Any weather conditions considered unsafe by Jersey Leash Leaders

we reserve the right to amend, shorten, delay or replace the booked service without prior agreement.

Alternative services may include:

  • Earlier walks
  • Shortened walks
  • Home Visits
  • Toilet breaks
  • Garden play
  • Welfare checks
  • Feeding
  • Fresh water
  • Mental enrichment
  • Companionship

The alternative service provided will be determined solely by Jersey Leash Leaders based on what is considered the safest and most appropriate option for your dog.

Where a suitable alternative service is offered, the booking remains fully chargeable.

If you choose not to accept the alternative service, advise that you do not require a Home Visit, earlier walk or any other suitable alternative, the booking will remain fully chargeable.

No refunds, credits, discounts, rescheduled sessions or replacement sessions will be offered where an alternative service has been made available.

All weather-related decisions are made solely by Jersey Leash Leaders in the interests of animal welfare and are final.

9. Withdrawal of Services by the Client

If you no longer require any services provided by Jersey Leash Leaders, including Group Walks, Solo Walks, Day Care, Home Visits or Pet Transport, you must notify us in writing as soon as possible.

Clients wishing to permanently withdraw from our regular services are required to provide a minimum of 30 working days’ written notice.

The 30 working day notice period begins on the first working day after Jersey Leash Leaders receives your written notice. Working days are Monday to Friday and exclude weekends and Jersey public holidays.

During the notice period, all scheduled services and payments will continue as normal.

All booked sessions, outstanding invoices, Direct Debit payments and any other charges must be paid in full before your cancellation or withdrawal from our services can be be completed.

Where services have already been paid for, including monthly schedules, Direct Debit billing periods or pre-booked sessions, these payments are non-refundable.

If you choose not to use your remaining booked sessions during the notice period, no refund, credit, transfer or replacement sessions will be provided.

Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to recover any outstanding balances before agreeing to the cancellation or withdrawal of services.

The cancellation of your services does not remove your responsibility to pay any outstanding invoices, fees or charges due under these Terms & Conditions.

Any exception to this policy will be entirely at the discretion of Jersey Leash Leaders and must be confirmed in writing.

⸻

10. Subscriptions & Regular Service Plans

Jersey Leash Leaders offers subscription plans to provide clients with a guaranteed place within our schedule at a discounted rate compared with ad-hoc or pay-as-you-go bookings.

By enrolling in a subscription or regular service plan, you agree to the following:

  • Your subscription reserves your dog’s place on the agreed days and times each week.
  • Subscription payments are collected using the agreed payment method, including Direct Debit where applicable.
  • Your monthly subscription payment covers your reserved place for the entire month, regardless of whether all sessions are attended.
  • Subscription payments are due every month and are not affected by your attendance, holidays, illness, work commitments or any other personal circumstances.
  • There are no refunds, credits, reductions or rescheduled sessions available under any subscription plan unless agreed in writing by Jersey Leash Leaders.
  • Missed sessions cannot be carried forward to another week or month.
  • Your subscription payment secures your dog’s reserved place within our schedule and not simply the individual sessions attended.
  • Subscription plans are offered at a discounted rate compared with standard bookings in return for your commitment to a regular place within our diary.
  • Subscription plans only include the services specifically stated within your chosen subscription. Any additional services, including extra walks, additional day care, home visits, pet transport or any other services, will be charged separately unless confirmed in writing by Jersey Leash Leaders.
  • Subscriptions continue until cancelled in accordance with our 30 working days’ written noticepolicy.
  • All outstanding invoices, subscription payments and charges must be paid in full before a subscription can be cancelled.

Starting a New Subscription

To ensure your subscription is set up correctly, we recommend all new subscriptions begin at the start of a calendar month.

This allows sufficient time for us to:

  • Set up your subscription within our booking system.
  • Process your Direct Debit instruction.
  • Allow your Direct Debit mandate to become active.
  • Reserve your dog’s regular place within our schedule.

If you choose to join a subscription part-way through a month, or towards the end of a month, any services provided before your subscription becomes active will be invoiced separately at the applicable standard rate.

Your subscription will begin once your Direct Debit has been successfully established and your subscription has been activated within our systems.

No subscription pricing or discounted subscription benefits will apply until your subscription has officially commenced.

Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to delay the start of any subscription until all administrative and payment processes have been completed.

Subscription Upgrades & Downgrades

Clients wishing to upgrade or downgrade their subscription must provide a minimum of 30 working days’ written notice.

The notice period begins on the first working day after Jersey Leash Leaders receives your written request.

Working days are Monday to Friday and exclude weekends and Jersey public holidays.

During this notice period your current subscription, payment amount and booked schedule will continue as normal.

We encourage clients to notify us as early as possible if they wish to upgrade or downgrade their subscription, as changes remain subject to availability.

Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to refuse any upgrade or downgrade request where availability or operational requirements do not permit the requested change.

Direct Debit Payments

Where your subscription is paid by Direct Debit:

  • You authorise Jersey Leash Leaders to collect payments on the agreed collection date.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure sufficient cleared funds are available.
  • Failed Direct Debit collections may incur an administration charge to cover any fees incurred by Jersey Leash Leaders.
  • If a Direct Debit payment fails, we will contact you to arrange payment.
  • Repeated failed Direct Debit collections may result in your Direct Debit being cancelled and your services being suspended or terminated with immediate effect.
  • Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to refuse future subscription payments by Direct Debit where repeated payment failures occur.

Subscription places are reserved exclusively for your dog and may not be transferred to another person, household or dog without the prior written agreement of Jersey Leash Leaders.

Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to amend subscription prices by providing reasonable written notice.

Any exception to this Subscription Policy will be entirely at the discretion of Jersey Leash Leaders and must be confirmed in writing.

11. Property Access & Keys

Clients are responsible for ensuring Jersey Leash Leaders has safe and reliable access to their property at the agreed collection and drop-off times.

Where keys, lockboxes, access codes or alarm details are provided, they will be stored securely and used solely for the purpose of providing our services.

Clients must ensure that all keys, locks, gates and access instructions are in good working order.

If we are unable to gain access to your property, or your dog cannot be collected due to incorrect information, faulty locks, missing keys, unavailable access codes or any other issue outside of our control, the booked service will remain fully chargeable.

If we are required to wait longer than 10 minutes to gain access, Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to leave and the booked service will remain fully chargeable.

Repeated access issues may result in suspension or termination of services.

⸻

Medication must be supplied in its original packaging together with clear written instructions.

Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to remove any dog from a walk, day care session or any other service where we believe continued participation presents a risk.

Our decision is final.

⸻

Owners must inform Jersey Leash Leaders immediately if:

  • A female dog comes into season.
  • An entire male develops behavioural changes which may affect group safety.

Female dogs in season will not be permitted to attend Group Walks or Day Care until their season has ended.

Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to refuse or suspend services for entire males where behaviour becomes unsafe, disruptive or unsuitable for group environments.

⸻

18. Off-Lead Walking

Dogs will only be walked off lead where written owner consent has been provided.

Providing consent does not guarantee your dog will be walked off lead.

Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the absolute right to keep any dog on lead whenever we believe this is necessary for safety.

Factors considered include, but are not limited to:

  • Recall.
  • Livestock.
  • Wildlife.

All decisions relating to off-lead walking are made solely by Jersey Leash Leaders and are final.
