Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 6 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions govern all services provided by Jersey Leash Leaders. By booking, using or continuing to use any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms & Conditions replace all previous versions and apply to all existing and future clients from 6 August 2026.

1. About Us
Throughout these Terms & Conditions:
“Jersey Leash Leaders”, “we”, “our” and “us” refers to Jersey Leash Leaders.
“Client” means the legal owner or authorised person responsible for the dog.
“Dog” means every dog accepted into our care.
“Services” include, but are not limited to:

2. Acceptance of These Terms
By making a booking you confirm that:
Continued use of our services after any amendments to these Terms & Conditions constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms & Conditions.

3. Meet & Greet
All new clients must complete a complimentary Meet & Greet before any services begin.
The Meet & Greet allows us to:
Completion of a Meet & Greet does not guarantee acceptance.
Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to refuse any booking where we believe our services are unsuitable or where accepting the booking could compromise the welfare or safety of staff, other dogs or members of the public.

4. Bookings
Bookings are only confirmed once accepted by Jersey Leash Leaders.
We reserve the right to refuse or decline any booking.
Availability cannot be guaranteed.
Regular clients may be given priority over ad-hoc bookings.
Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

5. Payments
Payment must be made using the agreed payment method.
Regular customers paying by Direct Debit authorise Jersey Leash Leaders to collect payments automatically on the agreed collection date.
Late payments may incur a 15% late payment charge.
Accounts with overdue balances may have services suspended until payment has been received in full.
Outstanding balances may be referred to a debt recovery agency where necessary.
The Client remains responsible for all charges relating to booked services until payment has been received in full.

6. Cancellation Policy
Group Walks
A minimum of 4 full working days’ notice must be provided to cancel any booked Group Walk.
Any cancellation received with less than 4 full working days’ notice will remain fully chargeable.
Day Care
A minimum of 7 full working days’ notice must be provided to cancel any booked Day Care session.
Any cancellation received with less than 7 full working days’ notice will remain fully chargeable.
Working Days
Working days are defined as Monday to Friday and exclude weekends and Jersey public holidays.
Rescheduling
Requests to move, swap or reschedule a booking are treated as cancellations and are subject to the same notice periods.
If sufficient notice is not provided, the original booking will remain fully chargeable.
These notice periods are necessary because your dog’s place is reserved exclusively for them and is often impossible to refill at short notice.

7. Client Holidays & Planned Absences
If you have any holidays or planned absences where your dog will not require our services, we kindly ask that you notify Jersey Leash Leaders as soon as possible.
Where possible, we request a minimum of 4 weeks’ notice for planned holidays. Providing us with plenty of notice allows us the opportunity to offer your reserved place to another client during your absence and helps us maintain a consistent service.
If holiday notice is provided within the same calendar month as your planned absence, or after your bookings have already been scheduled, your sessions will remain subject to our cancellation policy and may remain fully chargeable if the required notice period has not been met.
If you choose not to use a booked service due to:
your booking will remain fully chargeable unless the required cancellation notice has been provided.
No refunds, credits or replacement sessions will be provided where the required notice period has not been met.

8. Extreme Weather Policy
The health, safety and welfare of every dog in our care will always be our highest priority.
Jersey Leash Leaders will never knowingly provide a service that places a dog, our staff or members of the public at unnecessary risk.
During periods of extreme or unsafe weather including, but not limited to:
we reserve the right to amend, shorten, delay or replace the booked service without prior agreement.
Alternative services may include:
The alternative service provided will be determined solely by Jersey Leash Leaders based on what is considered the safest and most appropriate option for your dog.
Where a suitable alternative service is offered, the booking remains fully chargeable.
If you choose not to accept the alternative service, advise that you do not require a Home Visit, earlier walk or any other suitable alternative, the booking will remain fully chargeable.
No refunds, credits, discounts, rescheduled sessions or replacement sessions will be offered where an alternative service has been made available.
All weather-related decisions are made solely by Jersey Leash Leaders in the interests of animal welfare and are final.
9. Withdrawal of Services by the Client
If you no longer require any services provided by Jersey Leash Leaders, including Group Walks, Solo Walks, Day Care, Home Visits or Pet Transport, you must notify us in writing as soon as possible.
Clients wishing to permanently withdraw from our regular services are required to provide a minimum of 30 working days’ written notice.
The 30 working day notice period begins on the first working day after Jersey Leash Leaders receives your written notice. Working days are Monday to Friday and exclude weekends and Jersey public holidays.
During the notice period, all scheduled services and payments will continue as normal.
All booked sessions, outstanding invoices, Direct Debit payments and any other charges must be paid in full before your cancellation or withdrawal from our services can be be completed.
Where services have already been paid for, including monthly schedules, Direct Debit billing periods or pre-booked sessions, these payments are non-refundable.
If you choose not to use your remaining booked sessions during the notice period, no refund, credit, transfer or replacement sessions will be provided.
Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to recover any outstanding balances before agreeing to the cancellation or withdrawal of services.
The cancellation of your services does not remove your responsibility to pay any outstanding invoices, fees or charges due under these Terms & Conditions.
Any exception to this policy will be entirely at the discretion of Jersey Leash Leaders and must be confirmed in writing.

10. Subscriptions & Regular Service Plans
Jersey Leash Leaders offers subscription plans to provide clients with a guaranteed place within our schedule at a discounted rate compared with ad-hoc or pay-as-you-go bookings.
By enrolling in a subscription or regular service plan, you agree to the following:
Starting a New Subscription
To ensure your subscription is set up correctly, we recommend all new subscriptions begin at the start of a calendar month.
This allows sufficient time for us to:
If you choose to join a subscription part-way through a month, or towards the end of a month, any services provided before your subscription becomes active will be invoiced separately at the applicable standard rate.
Your subscription will begin once your Direct Debit has been successfully established and your subscription has been activated within our systems.
No subscription pricing or discounted subscription benefits will apply until your subscription has officially commenced.
Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to delay the start of any subscription until all administrative and payment processes have been completed.
Subscription Upgrades & Downgrades
Clients wishing to upgrade or downgrade their subscription must provide a minimum of 30 working days’ written notice.
The notice period begins on the first working day after Jersey Leash Leaders receives your written request.
Working days are Monday to Friday and exclude weekends and Jersey public holidays.
During this notice period your current subscription, payment amount and booked schedule will continue as normal.
We encourage clients to notify us as early as possible if they wish to upgrade or downgrade their subscription, as changes remain subject to availability.
Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to refuse any upgrade or downgrade request where availability or operational requirements do not permit the requested change.
Direct Debit Payments
Where your subscription is paid by Direct Debit:
Subscription places are reserved exclusively for your dog and may not be transferred to another person, household or dog without the prior written agreement of Jersey Leash Leaders.
Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to amend subscription prices by providing reasonable written notice.
Any exception to this Subscription Policy will be entirely at the discretion of Jersey Leash Leaders and must be confirmed in writing.
11. Property Access & Keys
Clients are responsible for ensuring Jersey Leash Leaders has safe and reliable access to their property at the agreed collection and drop-off times.
Where keys, lockboxes, access codes or alarm details are provided, they will be stored securely and used solely for the purpose of providing our services.
Clients must ensure that all keys, locks, gates and access instructions are in good working order.
If we are unable to gain access to your property, or your dog cannot be collected due to incorrect information, faulty locks, missing keys, unavailable access codes or any other issue outside of our control, the booked service will remain fully chargeable.
If we are required to wait longer than 10 minutes to gain access, Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to leave and the booked service will remain fully chargeable.
Repeated access issues may result in suspension or termination of services.

12. Collection & Drop-Off Times
Collection and return times are approximate.
Whilst every effort will be made to arrive within the expected timeframe, times may vary due to:

No refunds, credits or reductions will be given for delays outside our reasonable control.

13. Dog Health
Owners confirm that their dog is fit, healthy and suitable to participate in the services booked.
Owners agree to notify Jersey Leash Leaders immediately of any:
Dogs must not attend Group Walks or Day Care if they are suffering from:
Dogs must remain away from services until they have been symptom-free for a minimum of 48 hours, unless otherwise confirmed by a veterinary surgeon.
Failure to disclose illness may result in immediate suspension of services.

14. Vaccinations, Flea & Worm Treatment
Owners confirm that their dog is appropriately vaccinated where recommended by their veterinary surgeon.
Dogs must remain up to date with flea and worm treatments.
Should an untreated flea infestation or parasite outbreak occur due to a client’s dog, Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to recover any reasonable cleaning or treatment costs incurred.

15. Medication
Medication can only be administered where agreed in advance.
Medication must be supplied in its original packaging together with clear written instructions.
Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to refuse to administer medication where we believe it is unsafe, unclear or beyond our level of competence.

16. Behaviour & Aggression
Owners must disclose any history of:
Failure to disclose known behavioural issues may result in the immediate termination of services without refund.
Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to remove any dog from a walk, day care session or any other service where we believe continued participation presents a risk.
Our decision is final.

17. Entire Males & Females in Season
Owners must inform Jersey Leash Leaders immediately if:
Female dogs in season will not be permitted to attend Group Walks or Day Care until their season has ended.
Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to refuse or suspend services for entire males where behaviour becomes unsafe, disruptive or unsuitable for group environments.

18. Off-Lead Walking
Dogs will only be walked off lead where written owner consent has been provided.
Providing consent does not guarantee your dog will be walked off lead.
Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the absolute right to keep any dog on lead whenever we believe this is necessary for safety.
Factors considered include, but are not limited to:
All decisions relating to off-lead walking are made solely by Jersey Leash Leaders and are final.

19. Equipment
Owners must provide suitable collars, harnesses and leads that are correctly fitted and safe to use.
Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to replace unsuitable equipment with our own where necessary for safety.
We accept no responsibility for equipment supplied by owners that fails during use due to wear, damage or incorrect fitting.

20. Veterinary Emergencies
If your dog becomes ill or injured whilst in our care, we will make every reasonable attempt to contact you immediately.
Where emergency veterinary treatment is required and we cannot contact you, you authorise Jersey Leash Leaders to obtain veterinary treatment without delay.
Where practical, your usual veterinary practice will be used. If unavailable, the nearest suitable veterinary practice may be chosen.
All veterinary fees, medication, treatment costs and associated expenses remain the responsibility of the owner.
Where appropriate, Jersey Leash Leaders may transport your dog to a veterinary practice in the interests of their health and welfare.
21. Transport
Jersey Leash Leaders transports dogs using professionally secured crash-tested crates or approved vehicle restraints appropriate for the size and needs of each dog.
Our vehicles are maintained to a high standard and operated with your dog’s safety and welfare as our priority.
Whilst every reasonable precaution is taken, transport always carries an unavoidable element of risk. By using our services, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
In the event of an accident, vehicle breakdown or emergency, Jersey Leash Leaders will take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety and welfare of every dog in our care and will contact owners as soon as reasonably possible.

22. Liability
Jersey Leash Leaders will always exercise reasonable care, skill and diligence whilst caring for your dog.
However, dogs are living animals and their behaviour can sometimes be unpredictable.
Jersey Leash Leaders cannot accept responsibility for:
Owners remain legally responsible for any loss, injury or damage caused by their dog whilst using our services.
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where the law does not allow us to do so.

23. Photography & Social Media
From time to time photographs or videos may be taken whilst your dog is participating in our services.
These photographs and videos may be used for:
If you do not wish your dog to appear in photographs or videos, you must notify Jersey Leash Leaders in writing.
We will never knowingly publish information that compromises your privacy or security.

24. Privacy & Data Protection
Jersey Leash Leaders collects and stores personal information solely for the purpose of providing our services.

Information will only be shared where legally required or where necessary to protect the welfare of your dog, such as with a veterinary practice during an emergency.

25. Complaints Procedure
We aim to provide an excellent service at all times.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible.
All complaints will be investigated fairly and responded to within a reasonable timeframe.
We are committed to resolving concerns professionally and respectfully.

26. Right to Refuse or Terminate Services
Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to refuse, suspend or terminate services immediately where:
Termination of services does not remove the client’s responsibility to pay any outstanding invoices, subscription payments or other charges owed.

27. Force Majeure
Jersey Leash Leaders shall not be held responsible for any delay, interruption or failure to provide services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
These include, but are not limited to:
Where reasonably possible, alternative arrangements will be considered, however they cannot be guaranteed.

28. Changes to These Terms & Conditions
Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Clients will be given reasonable notice of significant changes.
Continued use of our services after the effective date of any revised Terms & Conditions constitutes acceptance of those revised Terms & Conditions.
The most up-to-date version of these Terms & Conditions will always be available on our website.

29. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in Jersey.
Any dispute arising from these Terms & Conditions or the services provided by Jersey Leash Leaders shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Jersey.
