Terms & Conditions

By booking any service with Jersey Leash Leaders, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Bookings & Minimum Commitment
- A minimum of 2 regular bookings per week is required for ongoing dog walking or daycare services.
- We do not accept rotating shift patterns or single weekly bookings.
- All services are subject to availability.
- Late booking requests may incur a £3.00 late booking fee.
- Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to decline or withdraw services at its discretion.
2. Pick-Up & Drop-Off Policy (Strict Operational Terms)
- All pick-up and drop-off times are allocated solely at the discretion of Jersey Leash Leaders.
- Times provided are estimated time windows only and are not fixed appointments.
- Routes are structured around group safety limits, animal welfare, location planning, and operational efficiency.
- We do not guarantee exact collection or return times.
- We will not adjust routes or schedules around individual work hours, school runs, appointments, or personal commitments.
- Traffic, weather, roadworks, vehicle issues, or unforeseen delays may impact timings. No refund, reduction, or compensation will be given for such delays.
- Owners must ensure safe and unobstructed access during the allocated window.
- If access is unavailable, keys fail, dogs are not secured/ready, or the environment is unsafe, the service will be cancelled and charged in full.
- Repeated access failures or attempts to dictate scheduling may result in immediate termination of services.
- Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to amend routes and time windows at any time to protect safety and business sustainability.
3. Payments & Fees
- Payment terms are as stated on your invoice.
- A £1.50 invoice administration fee applies per invoice.
- Invoices unpaid by the due date will incur a 15% late payment fee added to the outstanding balance.
- Services will operate under a No Pay – No Walk policy.
- Continued non-payment may result in suspension of services.
Debt Recovery
- Unpaid debts may be pursued through petty debts court.
- A £100 recovery administration fee will be added to cover business time and administrative costs.
- All court fees, recovery costs, and legal expenses will be the responsibility of the dog owner.
4. Cancellations & 48-Hour Rule
- A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or amendments.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours will be charged in full.
- If a walker attends and your dog is:
- In season
- Unfit for exercise
- Showing signs of illness
- Not secured or not ready
The service will be cancelled and charged in full.
5. Health, Illness & Veterinary Care
Owners must disclose:
- Illness or injury
- Medication requirements
- Behavioural changes
- Contagious conditions
Dogs must be up to date with vaccinations (or titre tested), flea treatment, and worming.
If a dog becomes unwell or injured while in our care:
- Veterinary treatment may be sought immediately.
- All veterinary and associated costs remain the responsibility of the owner.
6. Behaviour & Aggression Policy
All dogs must be suitable for:
- Group walking environments
- Daycare settings
- Home boarding (dog and child friendly)
Any dog displaying:
- Aggression
- Resource guarding
- Excessive dominance
- Repeated disruptive behaviour
Will be removed immediately from group services.
All outstanding future bookings will not be refunded unless agreed at management discretion.
If your dog causes injury to another dog, person, staff member, or property, you will be held responsible for all veterinary, medical, repair, and associated costs.
Failure to pay may result in legal proceedings.
7. Boarding Terms
- Boarding dogs must be safe within a family home environment.
- We may require a trial night prior to confirming a boarding booking.
- Trial nights are charged at the standard weekday or weekend boarding rate.
- Boarding is subject to availability.
Any damage caused inside the property will be charged to the owner.
8. Staff Illness & Operational Disruption
In the event of staff illness, emergency, vehicle breakdown, or unforeseen disruption:
- We will attempt to provide suitable cover where possible.
- If cover cannot be arranged, services may be cancelled without liability.
- Jersey Leash Leaders shall not be held liable for events outside reasonable control.
9. Equipment & Personal Property
Owners must ensure collars and harnesses:
- Fit correctly
- Are secure
- Are not faulty
If equipment is deemed unsafe and no suitable replacement is provided, the service may be cancelled and charged.
Jersey Leash Leaders accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to:
- Collars
- Harnesses
- Leads
- Coats
- Jumpers
- ID tags
10. Legal ID Tag Requirement
It is a legal requirement for dogs to wear an ID tag.
If a dog attends without one, Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to fit a branded collar with our ID tag during the service.
11. GPS Trackers & Data Protection
- We may fit our own GPS tracker during lead walks for safety purposes.
- Owner-fitted trackers may be removed during services for data protection reasons.
- Tracking devices are used solely for operational safety.
12. Transport
Dogs are transported in professionally secured crates or approved safety systems.
Owners consent to their dog travelling in our vehicle for service delivery purposes.
13. Loss of Animal
While every reasonable care is taken, animals are unpredictable by nature.
In the unlikely event of loss:
- Immediate recovery procedures will begin.
- Owners will be informed immediately.
Jersey Leash Leaders cannot be held liable for events outside reasonable professional control.
14. Photography & Social Media
Photos and videos may be used for marketing and social media.
If you do not consent, you must notify us in writing.
15. Insurance
Jersey Leash Leaders is fully insured with specialist pet business insurance.
Owners remain responsible for:
- Undisclosed medical conditions
- Undisclosed behavioural issues
- Damage or injury caused by their dog
16. Amendments
Jersey Leash Leaders reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
