Hi, I’m Richard — founder of Jersey Leash Leaders.
I started Jersey Leash Leaders after seeing pet owners in Jersey being let down at the last minute before holidays. What began as stepping in to help people in my spare time quickly grew through trust, word of mouth, and recommendation. The demand increased rapidly, and before long, Jersey Leash Leaders became a full-time business.
Today, I personally run 4–5 structured group walks per day alongside solo walks, covering Town & the East of the Island. I’ve built this business on reliability, structure, safety, and professionalism — because every dog deserves consistency, positive experiences, and high-quality care.
Qualifications & Professional Development
I am proud to hold:
• MDWA Accredited Dog Walker
• Level 3 (VTQ) Pet Professional First Aid
• IMDT – Canine Body Language Webinar
• IMDT – Managing Multiple Dogs on Walks Webinar
• Fully insured with specialist pet business insurance
I strongly believe education should never stop in this industry. Understanding canine body language allows me to recognise early stress signals, prevent issues before they escalate, and maintain calm, structured group dynamics. Training in managing multiple dogs ensures safe handling, spatial awareness, and confident leadership during group walks.
I continually invest in further training and professional development to ensure Jersey Leash Leaders operates to the highest standards on the island.
Having worked with a wide range of breeds and temperaments, I understand that every dog is an individual. Whether supporting nervous dogs in building confidence or managing high-energy personalities, every walk is tailored with the dog’s wellbeing in mind.
Jersey Leash Leaders has been built from the ground up through reinvestment, strong ethics, and a commitment to raising the bar for professional dog walking in Jersey.
This isn’t just a job — it’s something I’m incredibly proud to lead.

Hi, I’m Phoebe — the real boss behind Jersey Leash Leaders.
While Richard thinks he’s in charge, I focus on the important work… treat testing, cuddle supervision, and daily zoomie control.
You’ll usually find me supervising walks, posing for photos, or carefully checking the biscuit supply for quality assurance. I’m also often spotted at the end of Floyd’s long line making sure he’s behaving — someone has to keep standards high.
At work, I proudly walk in any weather like a true professional.
Outside of work though… the wind is scary and absolutely not for me 🙂↔️
My specialist skills include advanced tail wagging, expert sofa snuggling, emotional support for humans and dogs, and an immediate response to the word treat.
Most importantly, I help make sure every dog feels safe, loved, and part of the family — which is kind of my main job.
